Equilibrium is committed to caring for the Environment and is involved in promoting and funding* Energy Systems that promote lower Greenhouse gases.

The CNIM Group is involved in Waste to Energy Systems throughout Europe, Scandinavia and the UK. The CNIM Group installed inventory now totals 221 household waste-to-energy lines. As the world's wastes continue to build unchecked, CNIM says:

Making waste work for us.

Let us harnessing the potential of an unavoidable product of modern society. As economies develop, the amount of waste they produce inevitably grows. But, without our help, the environment cannot absorb the increasing stream of pollution. As responsible citizens, we must not leave our children the task of dealing with these ever-taller mountains of waste.

Today, dumping waste into landfills can be envisaged only as a last resort. Resource recovery provides a far more satisfactory choice of alternatives. These include raw materials reclamation, the production of soil improvers for agriculture – and power and heat generation in waste-to-energy plants. The latter is generally the best solution for large urban communities.

The waste treatment technologies developed by CNIM enable proven solutions to be provided to local government authorities with a permanent concern to protect the environment. The energy contained in the waste is converted into electricity or heat without depleting natural resources and thus contributes to improving our quality of life and to meeting our needs.

In the field of urban waste treatment, CNIM designs and offers waste-to-energy processing systems, a key technique in a global approach combining several waste processing solutions. CNIM's references cover the whole range of industrial installations with waste-processing capacities from 2.5 to 50 t/h.

Flue gas treatment systems for incineration plants.

The quality of air has become a major concern. LAB SA (a member of the CNIM Group) is the European leader in the sector of waste incineration flue gas treatment systems with 50 years of experience and 275 flue gas treatment lines in 18 countries.

The LAB processes for flue gas cleaning make it possible to reconcile energy recovery from waste and ecology. They contribute to preserve clean air for the present and the future in a particularly demanding domain and one subject to very strict constraints.
